the site of what was originally a Roman villa. Parts of the bell tower and the fountains in the courtyard still survive from that period. In the 15th century, the monks built a new chapel—which still stands today—and in the 18th century, the entire monastery was expanded.

It features a new, fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bathroom has been renovated and is equipped with a wheelchair-accessible shower and a separate toilet. You access the sleeping area via a single step; the entire light-filled living/sleeping area is spacious and open-concept. The property is located in an oasis surrounded by vineyards in the Hérault department, in the Occitanie region of southern France. Private internet access (Wi-Fi) via fiber-optic line is available free of charge. A new, internet-enabled TV allows you to watch not only French but also German TV channels via the corresponding apps. The property also includes a front yard for your exclusive use, naturally equipped with patio furniture and a gas plancha.
The location between the two villages of “Tourbes” and “Alignan-du-Vent” is quiet; the
road connecting these villages runs past our property. It’s about a 2.5-km drive to the villages, where you’ll find both bakeries and
cafés, as well as a very typical, authentic Southern French atmosphere.
Pézenas is about 6 km away; it’s one of the most beautiful small towns in southern France, with
fascinating Renaissance-era buildings and one of the most beautiful markets
every Saturday.
