The family-friendly two bedroom/two bath condominium sleeps up to five people. The unit recently underwent an extensive upgrade, making it one of the nicest in a very nice complex.
Playa Tranquilidad is in the Costa Linda condominium complex--unit 4-03. It is a first floor unit, so no stairs or elevators. You will enter using a self-check-in with a digital lock on the hallway door. As you step inside the roomy unit, you’ll see a nice L-shaped couch that seats four adults comfortably with room left over for a little one. You can watch the 60” smart TV with cable and apps for streaming your favorite content. The recently enhanced kitchen is a dream for anyone who likes to cook, with plenty of cabinet space, granite countertops, electric cooktop and oven, microwave and full size french-style refrigerator, as well as an Instant Pot, toaster, blender, and mixer. You’ll also find all the pots and pans, casserole dishes, and standard cooking implements you’ll need for family dinners. Or…just enjoy the outstanding local restaurants. There are also dishes, glassware, and silverware for the meals you cook, or the ones you bring from take-out. A beautiful dining area table seats four, with two additional dining spots at the kitchen bar. And of COURSE, there is plenty of Costa Rica coffee for the drip coffee maker, along with stevia and sugar.
Making your way down the hallway will bring you to the bedrooms. The master has a queen-size bed with two bedside tables--each featuring USB charging outlets for your personal devices. A double closet with shelving and hanger rods has plenty of room for whatever you need to hang or store. There is also a wall-mounted smart TV with the same options as the TV in the den. The ensuite bathroom was recently upgraded with a luxurious shower featuring overhead rainfall or handheld options with plenty of water pressure and all the hot water you could want. You’ll also find your linens, as well as shower soap, shampoo, and a hair dryer.
The second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed--great for sleeping three. It also features a bedside table with a lamp and USB charging station. The guest bath is right across the hall with all the same amenities as the master--though slightly smaller.
The unit has central AC to keep you cool throughout your stay, as well as high-speed internet (usually clocking at over 500 Mbps) that should meet any requirements of your personal devices.
A new washer/dryer is available for your personal items. Hosts will handle laundry of towels and other linens as part of their cleaning upon check-out. One cleaning is included with each booking. For longer stays, additional cleaning is available for an extra fee.
If you prefer the great outdoors, there is a private patio with an umbrella-table that seats four as you are surrounded by beautiful tropical plants. You can listen to toucans in the trees, see a colorful macaw, or watch a friendly iguana scurry across the lawn. Venturing into the common area of the complex, you will see beautifully maintained landscaping, a large adult pool with attached kiddie pool, kids’ play areas, numerous barbecue set-ups, and a great deck for enjoying the sun. If you like to walk for exercise, the paved area around the complex is approximately ⅓ of a mile.
Playa Tranquilidad is in a great location. A six minute walk takes you to the beautiful beach, known internationally for its great surfing. Fifteen minutes gets you downtown with pretty much anything you could need. Restaurants, souvenir shops, bars, and clothing or grocery stores are all an easy walk. For longer trips, local taxis and Ubers are readily available if you don’t have your own car. Jaco is less than two hours from the airport in San Jose, with numerous transportation options available. Your hosts will be happy to provide assistance upon request.
As a highly secure gated community, appropriate behavior and authorization are essential for all guests. Upon booking the property, you will receive an online form to complete, listing the names and relevant information of all members of your party--including Passport or other government-issued ID information. The Costa Linda security staff will require this data for you to be admitted. If you wish to host family or friends for a brief stay (not overnight), you’ll need to message your host to add them to the security system. Motion activated cameras are present on exterior hallway and patio doors for security reasons.
Smoking is not permitted in the unit or in any outdoor location within the condominium complex. Smokers will need to leave the gated area. Playa Tranquilidad does not allow pets, but welcomes service animals. Please note that emotional support animals are not considered service animals and are not exempt from the no-pets policy. Costa Linda is a wonderful family-friendly community. However, loud or raucous behavior is not tolerated by the complex management. Violation of the rules can result in guests being escorted off of the property.
