Summary: Very disappointing — nice property, but poorly managed I’m very disappointed with Mövenpick Living Istanbul West. The property itself is nice, but it honestly feels like it is being managed by people who don’t understand the hospitality and hotel industry. Let me start with the positives. The building is very nice, there is a great underground parking garage, and our three-bedroom apartment was modern, spacious, and looked great. There is a TV in every room, and the property itself has a lot of potential. The problem is the service and management. This is a hotel apartment with a full kitchen, yet there were no plates, utensils, or basic kitchenware when we arrived—you have to ask for them. There were also no paper towels, tissues, dishwashing liquid, sponge, or dishwasher detergent. We eventually requested plates and utensils, but after using them, there was literally nothing provided to wash them with. The dirty dishes piled up, and housekeeping didn’t wash them either. What makes this even more ridiculous is that the hotel has a sign saying that if you want dishwashing or extra cleaning service, you have to pay €30 per day. So they give you an apartment with a kitchen, don’t provide the basic supplies needed to wash your own dishes, and then charge €30 if you want them washed. I honestly don’t understand the logic behind this. There wasn’t enough toilet paper in the bathrooms either. When I went to take my first shower, the shampoo and body wash were completely empt
